Curry Lovers Indian restaurant located in Epping (Sydney, NSW) recently hosted the mental-health focused Art Exhibition for Curate Me by Haathi in the Room in collaboration with Mindkshetra. The workshop art therapy project was designed to encourage young South Asians to tune into their mental wellbeing through art therapy.

The mental wellness art therapy sessions were facilitated by Rupa Parthasarathy, Founder of Mindkshetra and experienced art therapist. The sessions were conducted in way that participants are encouraged to express their feelings and thoughts through art, specifically painting a self-portrait. The whole focus and aim is to use art therapy to help improve mental well-being and emotional health.
The project concluded with an Indian Banquet Lunch & Art Exhibition that was held at the popular Indian restaurant Curry Lovers Epping on Saturday 5 March 2022. The Exhibition provided an opportunity for participants to meet in person, view each other’s artworks and discuss their work and inspiration to participate in this program.
